Shelter 

The Platform Children Society (PCS) runs a shelter in a house near the station at Kothavalasa, 7 km from the main campus. It is staffed by a House Mother and a Supervisor, Ramu (an “ex-platform” kid) who regularly travels on trains between Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram, to befriend, counsel and win the trust of “platform children” and tell them about the shelter. All are welcome with no strings attached.They can come and go for cleanups, medicines, and food. Those wishing to settle can move on to the campus at Kantakapalli. An average of 4 children visit the shelter every day.

Our Congratulations go to two of our top students at Platform Children Society (PCS). Both Vijaya Laxsmi and Praveen have graduated from Intermediate College and have been accepted into their chosen fields at University! Vijaya Laxsmi will be studying Medicine and Praveen will be studying Marine Engineering. We are delighted for you both! We are sure your mother, Jyothi (PCS Housemother and Administrator) and your sponsors have very good reason to be proud of you!

Congratulations also go to G. Karthik and Y. Santosh who have completed their first year at Intermediate College. We eagerly await your future achievements.
